Wybieramy olej do agregatu prądotwórczego
Modern functioning in any space is closely related to electricity. We need electricity at home, at work, while traveling or during leisure. That's why it's worth taking power failures into account. To protect yourself from such an unexpected situation, you should equip yourself with a generator. However, in order for it to work effectively, you need to correctly choose the oil for such a power generator. What should you pay attention to?

Each of us daily uses at least a few devices that will require electricity to operate. These are, of course, computers, washing machines, irons or refrigerators. We need even more devices when we operate in a manufacturing business or have a farm. Then constant access to electricity is the to be or not to be of such a business. Every prudent and forward-thinking entrepreneur prefers to invest in a power generator or even several, to be prepared for any situation. This way, regardless of sudden power failures, our business can operate smoothly and we do not suffer severe financial losses. All it takes is a fault with the supplier, gusty winds or heavy snowfall, which sometimes causes high-voltage lines to break. It is then that the genset will enable the continuation of the production line or simply allow us to continue working on the computer.

In our store you will find models to suit your needs, such as diesel generators. Regardless of the model, it is very important to choose the right oil. This will increase the performance of such a machine, while it can also be economical.

Prevention and oil condition of diesel generator sets

Before we get to the issue of proper oil selection, let's keep in mind the basic operating principles. As with other equipment in which the engine is installed, use will be very important. The length of life of a diesel generator set, that is, its service life, is affected by its proper maintenance. In order to ensure that the device operates smoothly and no malfunctions occur, we need to know how often the oil should be changed. The basic rule is that the first oil change must be carried out very quickly, as after 10 hours of operation. However, this applies only to the first use. Subsequent changes should be made after a year or after 100 hours of operation. Of course, if our unit operates in very harsh conditions, then oil changes should be carried out accordingly more often. In addition, it will be very important to check the condition of the oil before every time the unit is started. This can prevent very serious failures.

Diesel genset and the choice of oil

In order to properly select the oil for our diesel generator, it is best to follow the same principles as in the case of automobiles. After all, if we have a car, we know perfectly well that the right type of oil will be matched to each engine. It will be the same with diesel generators. So the oil must be matched by carefully checking the designation of the engine installed in the genset. If, by the way, we buy such a device, there should be an instruction manual attached to it. It also contains information on the recommended oil for a particular model. It is also imperative that we pay attention to the classification of oils. The key issue here will be the classification with the symbol SAE. It is the most important, because it allows you to identify the properties of the oil at specific temperatures. In the most general terms, for generator sets, the usual recommended oils to use are: 10W30, 10W40, and also 15W40. These will be suitable for gensets that have diesel engines installed. These are simply very versatile oils, as evidenced by the fact that they can also be used in gasoline engines with electric start. Another important classification to pay attention to when buying oil for a genset is the API designation. This classification will assign the oil to the engine version. When it comes to gasoline engines, oils designed for them have a designation with the letter S. In the case of diesel engines, it will be the letter C. When buying, it is imperative that we keep these symbols in mind, as they will guarantee our generators a longer service life.

So we can clearly see how important the technical specifications are when choosing oil for a generator set. It is necessary to pay attention to these parameters - regardless of whether the generators have a diesel engine or are gasoline-powered. In addition, you need to match the oil just as meticulously, both when the generator is to power a large production line in a company, and when you have a model with a slightly smaller capacity, needed for work on our farm, for example. Regardless of the intended use, a good oil will guarantee longer operation and lower failure rates. All you need to do is read the instruction manual provided by the manufacturer of the engine or generator set.

If a generator set, then only with AVR

As a manufacturer and distributor of generators, we offer devices equipped only with high-end voltage regulators. We know how important for you is the safety of consumers powered by the generator. AVR guarantees stable operation of electronic devices and their protection from damage. Failure of a heat pump, computer or other equipment is not only a considerable cost, but also a risk of data loss. That's why every Proton generator has a suitable AVR voltage regulator.
